Digital Radio, Wireless LANs

In many places it is impossible, or not desirable to use physical cabling for a local area network. A radio link could be used to connect places that would otherwise be very costly to connect.

Radio is something I have worked with for a long time, both as radio amateur and with wireless networks. I could:

  • Assess your requirements and find other, related reference installations
  • Advice on equipment (antennas, cabling, etc.)
  • Advice on future expansion
  • Advice on security (eavesdropping, as well as electrical and weather protection)
  • Help with net- and capacity planning
  • Advice on alternative routes of connection

There could be lots of things transmitted on a wireless network

  • Data for mobile workstations
  • IP Telephony (VoIP)
  • The Internet
  • E1, T1, ATM, Frame Relay, Ethernet...
  • Data to and from mobile platforms, like fork lifts, autonomous vehicles, trains and airplanes
  • Data to and from stationary platforms, like road signs, traffic lights, surveillance cameras and various machinery
