Overhead presentations in PowerPoint or on transparencies. I have my own style, and I work a lot with colour signals and symbol language.

A successful presentation, one that doesn't put people to sleep, takes a few things:

It must be cohesive regarding choice of colours and symbols The pictures can't have too many small details Graphical effects should be used sparingly

Various sections of the presentation should be clearly separated by different colours or design The lanugage and grammar should be correct

The subject is important, not PowerPoint magic. But, a presentation could very well be soemthing else:

A brochure A data sheet

A folder to put other things in A safety precautions pamphlet
