Overhead presentations in PowerPoint or on transparencies. I have my own style, and I work a lot with colour signals and symbol language.
A successful presentation, one that doesn't put people to sleep, takes a few things:
- It must be cohesive regarding choice of colours and symbols
- The pictures can't have too many small details
- Graphical effects should be used sparingly
- Various sections of the presentation should be clearly separated by different colours or design
- The lanugage and grammar should be correct
The subject is important, not PowerPoint magic. But, a presentation could very well be soemthing else:
- A brochure
- A data sheet
- A folder to put other things in
- A safety precautions pamphlet
