BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Overhead Presentations

I have made a few slide series and company presentations with presentation software like Microsoft Powerpoint. I find it interesting to sit down and brainstorm around some new idea or subject, and then try to create a nice and graphically persuasive series of pictures around it.

Respons: A Successful Production

Take for example the “Respons” direct marketing group of the Swedish Post Office. They needed a series of overhead pictures to sell their idea to their customers. There were no strict lines to follow, only a few loose ends and some older overhead pictures from other departments. Anyway, the result was not so bad (see below)!

eBrev: Another Successful Production

.I made a presentation for the Swedish Post Office's Hybrid Mail Service called "eBrev". The series covered several topics, but mostly new media, and new ways for advertisers to get into the modern household. The slide background wad fixed and couldn't be changed, I managed to get some graphic coherence by letting some images stay from one picture to the next, make all arrows, boxes etc in the same colour range.

This presentation really stole the show. The Post Office's only comment was: "A success".

Other Technical Presentations

INEO VPDSIneo Konsult of Sweden commissioned a series of brochures covering their CTI (Computer Telephony Integration) product range. The attached picture shows a leaflet describing Ineo's design system for voice response procedures, the VPDS. I made both the layout and the technical research.

Rack cabinetIneo Konsult was one of the driving forces behind the large fax mass distribution system of the Swedish Post Office. This picture describes how to connect all the cables, in the rack housing the communications computers. The picture is but one of all the illustrations in the hardware manual for the fax system, which I made. This particular picture received a lot of praise.

Respons: Praised Graphic Cohesion

If you have time to wait, there are 26 pictures coming, out of a series that the Swedish Post Office was very pleased with, and which got good reviews from others as well, as they said, because of:

eBrev: Graphic Cohesion that Really Works

The presentation changes topic twice, and I change the colour scheme accordingly. At the bottom is a thermometer, which shows people how much time is left. Someone may actually sit there, feeling bored. Also, I think it's all right to end with some hint of the next item on the agenda, as in this case: "Now it's coffee-time".

Be patient, and you will get 33 more, nice pictures.
