Kugelis

(potato cake)
(4 servings)

6-8 potatoes,
1 tsp. salt,
1/2 onion,
1 egg,
1-2 tbsp. oil.

The gravy:
50 g butter,
250 g sourcream

Heat the oven to 225°C. Peel the potatoes and onions and grate them to an even mash in a food processor. Mix everything in an bowl. Add salt, egg and oil and stir well. Pour the mixture in an oven plate with high sides, and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the surface is golden brown.

Gravy: melt the butter in a saucepan and add the sourcream and keep stirring while it heats up. If the sourcream is wery thick, you can add some water. Serve the gravy in a gravy-boat.
